Racing for Saturday, July 29 at Volunteer Speedway canceled due to rain 🌧 and severe storms forecast

BULLS GAP, Tenn. – Volunteer Speedway weekly racing promoter Brad Dyer has unfortunately been tasked with the mid-morning difficult decision of having to cancel racing scheduled Saturday, July 29.

With The Weather Channel forecast for Bulls Gap showing over 50% chance of rain from 7 p.m. on and after Brad and series director for the Cumberland Plateau Open Wheel Series Modifieds talked this morning, the percentage of rain possibility highly factored against series drivers/race teams towing from 2-3 hours distance. Plus, should late afternoon and evening storms develop that would affect time the racing program would end and the curfew comes into the situation.

Brad regrets having to make the call to cancel racing for Saturday, July 29, but with the weather forecast and race teams traveling he feels like it’s the decision to make.
