Chris Madden Repels Mitchell to Claim $20,000 Windfall

Taking advantage of race-long leader Jonathan Davenport’s flat right rear tire on lap thirty, polesitter Chris Madden led the rest of the way tonight at Volunteer Speedway to record the win in the third round of the Gauntlet at the Gap!  The driver known as “Smokey” beat Zack Mitchell, Brandon Overton, Ricky Thornton, Jr., and Carson Ferguson to the checkered flag to capture the $20,000 first place prize money.  With three different winners in the first three races, Davenport, Overton, and Madden all have a shot at the $100,000 bonus on Saturday if they were to emerge victorious in the 60-lap grand finale!
