Schedule Update for May 16 Program at Volunteer Speedway
Due to concerns regarding potential car count for Saturday night’s Carolina Sprint Tour appearance at Volunteer Speedway on May 16th, series officials have elected to cancel the winged sprint car portion of the event.
However, Volunteer Speedway is committed to making sure our racers and fans still have a great night of racing action rather than canceling the entire program.
To support our local racers and continue delivering an exciting show for fans, additional prize money has been added to three divisions for Saturday night:
Sportsman
1st Place: $1,200
2nd Place: $600
Open Wheel Modified
1st Place: $1,200
2nd Place: $600
Street Stock
1st Place: $700
2nd Place: $500
Front Wheel Drive payouts will remain unchanged at this time.
We appreciate the Carolina Sprint Tour for their communication throughout the process, and we look forward to working with them again down the road.
