Scott Bloomquist Celebration of Life scheduled Thursday, Sept. 19 at Volunteer Speedway
BULLS GAP, Tenn. – A Celebration of Life for National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Scott Bloomquist will be held at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The grandstands will be open free to the public starting at 11:00 a.m. Those desiring to send flowers should have their florist deliver to the Speedway Pit Entrance by 10:00 a.m. Those flowers received by the Millard Family Chapels staff by will be placed by victory lane in honor of Scott.
The Celebration of Life at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap will include Bill Reed, Chaplain of Dirt Racing Outreach, special speakers, Vic Hill of Volunteer Speedway, Dale McDowell, close friend and driver of the No. 17M and Scott’s daughter, Ariel Bloomquist. There will also be special music by the Voice’s country artist, Ruby Leigh, and a video tribute of Scott Bloomquist and closing remarks by Reid Millard. During the Celebration of Scott’s life his No. 0/18 late model car along with an urn made out of a billet of aluminum custom designed by Chad Wehrs will be placed in victory lane. Those attending will receive a Celebration of Life program of Scott.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Scott’s daughter, Ariel Bloomquist for her educational fund (4362 Whitecliff Street, Morristown TN 37813). Ariel is attending her freshman year at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.
